FPP Carry Out 16 Point Lift To Offload And Place A New Chiller In Close Proximity To Cadbury's Showpiece Victorian Baths
A number of significant challenges came into play on this tricky operation.
The 200ton crane had to be positioned on the main entrance roadway serving the busy 24/7 Bournville site so hence a safe but speedy operation was required.
The roadway has a 6° downward slope and so the setting out of timber mats to form ramps for the crane to manoeuvre on to had to be very carefully thought out.
The design of the 10ton chiller called for a rigging proposal that would accommodate a ‘16 point lift’ and just for good measure the chiller had to be carefully positioned between an office block and Cadbury’s showpiece Victorian Baths.
